Our Cleaning StepsI will cheerfully greet you on arrival at your home. Step 2: Pre-Inspection I will inspect your carpet and the areas that you are concerned with. I will also advise you if there are any "spots" that may actually be permanent stains. Step 3: Furniture Moving My cleaning price includes moving the small items of furniture, such as dining room chairs, a coffee table, etc. in the main living area. Heavier pieces such as beds, dressers, etc. are left in place. For liability reasons, we do not move china hutches, entertainment systems, any electronics, pianos, or other valuable belongings. Step 4: Tabs - Blocks I will place disposable blocks or tabs as needed under furniture for protection. These are to remain in place for 24 to 48 hours or until carpet is dry. They then can be removed and disposed of. (Please, don't remove them too soon, as permanent furniture staining can occur). Step 5: Pre-Vacuum After moving the furniture, I vacuum each room prior to cleaning to remove any dry soil. (Some carpet cleaners omit this step to save time.) Step 6: Pre-Condition - Pre-Spot Treatment When the vacuuming is done I then pre-spray your carpet with a bio-degradable cleaner to loosen all other soil. Extra care will be taken with any spots or traffic areas that concern you. Step 7: Extract & Flush I then extract and flush the cleaner into the tank in my truck keeping the pressure and heat regulated so that the carpet is not over wet. This step also improves your air quality by removing the pollens, pollutants, and dust mites, etc. from the carpet. Step 8: Post Spot After flushing the dirt from the carpet I will re-check your carpet for any spots that have not been removed. I will re-work these spots to remove them. (This excludes any stains found in the pre-inspection).
Step 9: Carpet Protection
(this is optional but recommended)
Protectants help you in two very important ways:
1. When a protective coating is applied to the carpet fibers, it
puts a protective barrier around each fiber. This protective
barrier resists moisture. When you do have a spill, it gives you
a window of time to get it cleaned up.
2. Protectants help in the area of wear. Having this protectant
on your carpet helps reduce the wear and abrasion caused by dirt
and sand in the carpet. This protects the carpet from excessive matting,
and in turn will cause your carpet to perform better.
Step 10: Post Grooming I groom the carpet in each room that I have cleaned. This sets up the carpet pile
for faster drying and a better visual appeal.
Step 11: Post Inspection
When I have finished I will ask you to look over your carpet. Let
me know if you are pleased, or if there is any area you would like me to go
back over.
Step 12: Signing your invoice
I will then have you sign our invoice for your records. This is very
important because major carpet manufacturers such as Dupont and Shaw Industries
recommend that you have your carpets cleaned every 6-12 months (depending on
the volumn of traffic), and with most of today's carpet, in order to satisfy the
warranty requirements, you must save your receipts from your cleanings.
Step 13: Leaving
After you are satisfied with the work I have preformed, I will pack up my equipment
and leave and let you enjoy your fresh, clean carpet..
PLEASE NOTE: All of our steps are included in our Gold and Silver Packages
(see package page). By choosing our Bronze Package to save money you
acknowledge that vacuuming, moving furniture and grooming are done by the
homeowner.
